Funnels out. Loops in.

Here's a mildly awkward confession. I’ve never really been into the idea of funnels 🫣

Because why would you think of your marketing like a funnel? Good marketing isn't linear. It doesn't start at the top, then drop your customers out of the bottom and into an abyss.

Sure, I'm totally behind the awareness, consideration, conversion journey that a customer travels, but if marketing has to be a shape, it really has to be a loop.

Because a successful customer journey should:
~ Bring the customer back.
~ Gives the customer something to talk about.
~ Make them part of the story.

And on top of that, the end of one customer's journey has the power to influence the start of someone else's.

Here are a couple of fun facts to convince you:
1. Acquiring a new customer can cost up to 5× more than retaining one
2. Referred leads convert at around 3× the rate of paid leads

And that's why in my marketing strategies, I talk about loops, not funnels 💪
