Do You Love?
for Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival
One of Hawke's Bay's largest and most recognised cultural events, the Hawke's Bay Arts Festival brings together local, national and international artists across a multi-day programme of performances, experiences and community events.
Following the cancellation of the 2024 Festival, Think Folk was engaged to lead the Festival's marketing and communications activity end-to-end. Working as an extension of the Arts Inc. Hawke's Bay team, the role spans strategy, audience development, publicity, advertising, partnerships, stakeholder communications and campaign delivery, bringing together multiple channels and audiences under a single, integrated approach.
Marketing + Communications Management
The Hawke's Bay Arts Festival is one of the region's largest and most recognised cultural events, bringing together local, national and international artists across a multi-day programme of performances, experiences and events.
Think Folk was engaged to lead the Festival's marketing and communications activity, taking responsibility for the annual campaign from strategy through to delivery. Following the cancellation of the 2024 Festival, the 2025 “Do You Love?” campaign focused on rebuilding audience confidence, relaunching a refreshed Festival brand and reconnecting with audiences across Hawke's Bay and beyond.
Working as an extension of the Arts Inc. team, Think Folk led all marketing and communications activity across paid, earned and owned channels, coordinating publicity, advertising, audience development, partnerships, stakeholder communications and campaign delivery.
Following the success of the Festival campaign, the relationship has continued beyond the event itself, with Think Folk providing ongoing marketing and communications support across Arts Inc.'s wider programmes and activities.
